Safety and boundaries
MAX is a companion, not a therapist or emergency service.
MAX is designed for private reflection, emotional steadiness, and judgment-free conversation. It has clear boundaries because emotional wellness tools must be honest about what they can and cannot do.
MAX can support
- Help you name what you are feeling.
- Offer grounding prompts and reflective questions.
- Support private text or voice check-ins.
- Surface crisis resources when safety language appears.
- Remind you when a situation needs human or professional support.
MAX cannot provide
- Diagnose mental health conditions.
- Provide therapy, counseling, or medical care.
- Suggest or comment on medication.
- Replace licensed professionals or trusted people in your life.
- Act as an emergency service or crisis intervention provider.
If safety feels urgent
If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number, nearest emergency department, or a crisis hotline right away. MAX can point to resources, but it cannot monitor you, call emergency services, or intervene in real time.
